Cindy Denton Lowe, 80, wife of Pete Lowe, passed away August 18, 2026, at Paramount Senior Living in Ona, W.Va. She was born August 6, 1946 a daughter of the late Fred and Clarice Johns Denton. She was also preceded in death by brothers, David Denton and Doug Denton; sister-in-law, Becky Denton; and grandson, David Scott Lowe.
In addition to her husband, Pete she is also survived by one brother, Tom Denton of Zanesville, OH; her son, Scott (Amy) Lowe of Jackson, OH; her daughter, Kim (J.R.) Ferguson of Grayson, KY; grandchildren, Emilee (Daniel) Schwendeman, of Winchester, KY, Drew Lowe of Lakeland, FL, Zach Creswell of Catlettsburg, KY, Alyssa Estepp of Grayson, KY, Maddie Mercer of Jackson, OH, Ava Mercer of Jackson, OH and Grayson Newsome of Jackson, OH; great grandchildren, Landon Estepp, Olivia Schwendeman, Sophia Schwendeman; special nieces, Marnie Graley, and Jamie Lowe; and best friend, Lucy.
Cindy was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio and graduated from Zanesville High School in 1964. She moved to the Huntington, W.Va. area in 1969 with her family and eventually settled in the Ceredo-Kenova communities where she could be found at local sporting events watching her son, Scott “Skeeter” Lowe. Cindy was a hard worker her entire life and worked for Oglebay Norton, Big Bear of Ceredo, United Bank of Ceredo and Griffith & Feil Drug Store. Cindy certainly lived life to its fullest and was the life of the party whether it was boating, motorcycling, where she was a charter member of Fire and Iron Motorcycle Club 29 WV, NASCAR races or Marshall games, she was there to have a good time and laugh with her family and friends.
The family would like to express a very special thank you to Paramount Senior Living Midland Place for the impeccable care they provided.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2026 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, W.Va. her funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. with Pastor Scott Byard officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kenova.
Cindy was active in animal rescue through Advocates Saving Adoptable Pets and in lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to them at advocates4321@yahoo.com. Online condolences may be expressed at rollinsfh.com.
