Catherine C. Thomas

Catherine C. Thomas, 71, of Nashport, died at 6:02 P.M. on Friday, July 3, 2026 at StoryPoint Powell North, in Powell, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 15, 1954, in Coshocton, a daughter of the late Tommy and Beverly (Perkins) Ross. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and was a retail associate for The Longaberger Company. Catherine loved cooking shows especially on The Food Network and had a passion for arts and crafts, becoming a well-known craft vendor around the state. She frequently spent her free time volunteering at the schools of her children.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Donald Thomas, whom she married November 15, 1975; a daughter, Hannah (Derek Plum) Thomas; a son, Donnie (Sara) Thomas; four grandchildren, Isla, Noah, Olivia and Ruby; two brothers, Rick (Jackie) Ross and Jim (Alena) Ross; a sister, Dana Zimmerman; a sister in law, Tricia Ross; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her brother, Michael “Moose” Ross.

Friends and family may call from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 10, 2026 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with a Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 10, 2026 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 144 North 5th Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Donald Abii as celebrant. Catherine will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
