Carole Ann McNeish

Carole Ann McNeish, 90, passed away in the loving presence of her family on Thursday, August 6 while in the care of the Primrose Retirement Community. Carole was born on August 25, 1935, to Robert and Gladys (Myers) Cochran. She was a life-long resident of the Zanesville area, graduating from Hopewell High School in 1953. Carole was employed by Ohio Bell, retiring in 1991 with 37 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, where she was a very active member and held several offices. She then became a full-time consultant for Longaberger Baskets for over 33 years. She won several awards, enjoyed many company trips, and made some of her best friends. She most recently had been a resident of Primrose Retirement Community, where she greatly enjoyed the activities, the staff, and new friends. Carole was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Janet Roberts; stepdaughter, Rhonda (Bruce) Kurtz; grandchildren, Chris, Kyle and Michael Roberts, Stephanie (Devin) Christman and Derek (Jill) McInerney; and great-grandchildren, Kyler and Cooper Brennen. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Kay McNeish and Carol Helms; a brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Faye) McNeish; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Rodney McNeish, who died in 2006, after 42 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Jr.; a sister, Mary Alice Hina; brothers-in-law, Leland and Myron McNeish and Wilbur Hina; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Vernon.

Calling hours for Carole will be held at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, on Wednesday, August 12, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with services starting at 1:00 PM. Pastors Mark Raaker and Larry Kudart will officiate, and she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Rodney McNeish, in Zanesville Memorial Park.
