Brenda Lee Moran

Brenda L. Moran, 78, of Zanesville, died June 20, 2025, at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House, Zanesville. She was born on September 9, 1946, to the late Charles L. Phillips and late Margie M. Appis. Brenda retired from Kroger’s in Heath several years ago and spent her retirement years feeding the deer, squirrels, and birds. She loved to tell people how the baby deer would eat out of her hand.

Brenda is survived by her children, Dana (Dana Sue) Armstrong, Shawn (Vicki) Gilmore, and JD Gilmore; grandchildren, Brenna, Nichole, Craig, Dalton, Danielle, Seth and Daiden; great grandchildren, Connor and Scott; sisters, Jonna (Bob) Sharp and Karen Spearman; nieces and nephews, Dawn (Jason) Weller, Cherish (Zach) Bullard, Ric (Jen) Wears, and Shelby (Jason) Dillon, and her beloved pets, PJ and Miss Kitty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Moran; sister, Fran Hammersley, and beagle, Penny.

Friends and family may call Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 12:00 NOON until time of service beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Celebrant Lindsay Michel officiating.
