Barney B. Bailes Sr.

Barney B. Bailes Sr, 49, of Newark, died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 25, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of Edith L. Conrad of Lancaster and the late Charles H. Bailes. He was employed as an auto mechanic, was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and loved working on cars. Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth Stires Bailes, whom he married February 14, 1982, of the home; two sons, Barney G. (Brittany) Bailes and Robert Bailes, both of Zanesville; a daughter, Daisy (Ronald Rowe) Lee of Newark; 4 grandchildren; a brother, Edward (Cindy) Bailes of Lancaster; three sisters, Pricilla (Dan) Freeman of Logan, Ada (Scott) Stepp of New Lexington and Catherine (Randy) Osmar of Vermont; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time at noon Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Rev. Terry Newman officiating.
