Barbara J. (Miller) Scott

Barbara J. Scott, 65, of Zanesville, died at 5:35 A.M. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her home. She was born September 7, 1955, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Virgil P. and V. Arlene (McCracken) Miller. She had worked at Muskingum County Job & Family Services Child Support Division for forty-five years. Barbara enjoyed camping with her friends and family and walking and chatting with people. She was a very welcoming person to everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, Donald F. Scott whom she married February 29, 1996; two daughters, Tessa R. James and Christy Land; four granddaughters, Arlana E. James, Kayleann R. (John) Carpenter, Brittany (Austin) Jarrett, and Corrie Dawn Gibson; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas Jarrett, Jake, Dylan, and Lorna Gibson; and a sister, Judy (Stewart Brown) Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Angel and Audra Land.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 14, 2021. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora.
