Ann A. Bronkar, 99, of South Zanesville, died at 1:25 P.M. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 22, 1921, in Flushing, a daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Oleryjeck) Kaczmarek. She retired from United Technology after twenty years and was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Knights of St. John’s Auxiliary. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeye fan. Ann enjoyed BINGO and gardening but her main love was for her family.
She is survived by two sons, Paul (Nancy) Bronkar and Michael (Christine) Bronkar; two daughters, Lana (Walt) Cannon and Vicki (John) McKay; twelve grandchildren, Kimberle (Mike) Tackett, Krisstopher (Ellen) Cannon, Kandida Ziccardi, Kevan (Stephanie) Cannon, Andrea (John) McCraken, Noah (Stephanie Miller) Bronkar, Erin (Clint) Cole, Abby (Brian) Grillot, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Stimmel, Brad McKay, Brent (Meghan) McKay, and Brandi (Michael) Harper; many great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence F. “Harry” Bronkar who died November 27, 2005; a daughter, Paulette Bronkar; a grandson-in-law, Nic Ziccardi; a brother, Joseph Kaczmarek; and two sisters, Mary Stranges and Nancy Humphrey.
Friends and family may call from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 11, 2021, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Martin Ralko as celebrant. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Harry, at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville.
The family requests that self-provided face masks be worn and social distancing be observed during the calling hours and funeral service.
