Alice G. Beish

Alice G. Beish, 84, of Zanesville, died at 1:57 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born October 25, 1924 in Clearfield, PA, to the late Jacob and Sarah Smell Duck. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses South Congregation. Surviving are a daughter, Gloria (Lawrence) Lee of Zanesville; three sons, Marshall A. (Betty) Beish of Chillicothe, Paul (Linda) Beish of Heath and Phillip (Deborah) Beish of Newark; fourteen grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; thirteen great- grandchildren; and many other extended family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall I. Beish, who died June 4, 2007; a son, Robert Beish; three brothers, Howard, George, and Lawton; and six sisters, Cora, Effie, Agatha, Mary, Sarah, Helen. A dignified cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall South Congregation, 1705 Pine Street with Robert Hammersley officiating.
