Phyllis Jewett Obituary

Phyllis Jewett, 78, of Zanesville went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 20, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. surrounded by her loving family at the Oaks at Bethesda. She was born January 25, 1939, a daughter of the late Harold and Marguerite Staples Brown. Phyllis had a passion for Christ and dedicated many years to East 40 Church of Christ. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and taking all her grandchildren to Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, Bingo, singing with ZGS and getting her nails done. Surviving are her husband, Russell Jewett; four children, Candy (Dan) Fisher, Heidi Ford, Shari (Harold) Sharrock and Rusty (Sara) Jewett; a brother, Jim (Ruthann) Brown and two sisters, Jennifer (Brian) Hurt and Reta (Dale) Collins; a son-in-law, Brad Perkins; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren with two more on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Perkins and a grandson, Christopher Perkins. Friends and family may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday, October 23, 2017 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 with Kenny Thomas officiating.
