Betty Shirkey Obituary

Betty L. Shirkey, 68, of Zanesville, died at 2:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at her home. She was born September 18, 1948, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Frederick Atkins and Mary Alexander Atkins Hunter. She retired after twenty-five years from Economy Linen, Zanesville and was a member of the Eagles Auxillary. She is survived by her husband, Henry E. Shirkey, of 41 years whom she married in 1975; two daughters, Crystal Shirkey of Zanesville and Tami (Gene) Liff of Crooksville; an adopted daughter, Jessica (Greg) Lankford of Zanesville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Irene (Ernest) Shirkey, Charlotte (Charlie) Tilton, and Sandra Lorey; a brother, Kenneth (Mary Lou) Atkins; several nieces and nephews; and her favorite dog, Tippy.
