Larry E. Claypool, 78, of Arcadia, Florida (formerly of Glenford, Ohio) died at 3:43 A.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark. He was born May 5, 1945, in Zanesville, a son of the late Paul E. and Juanita (Wooley) Claypool. Larry graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, and he worked at Lucent Technologies as a Quality Auditor for over 31 years. He enjoyed working on the family farm and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Larry liked the challenge of Multi-Level Marketing, talking to people, and helping them build their business. He was also an avid coin collector.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Vicky (Loterbaugh) Claypool; two sons, Keith (Cynthia) Claypool and Matthew (Kandy) Claypool; eight grandchildren, Keiton, Laurelann, Ashlee, Cheyanne, Aubrionna, Keith II, Kaitlyn, and Makynzie; six great grandchildren, Gage, Peyton, Keinah, Keilah, Kyndahl, and Kylo; a brother, Lonny (Fran) Claypool; a sister, Linda (Howard) Gill; and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville 43701, and one hour prior to time of service starting at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 92 N. Main Street, Roseville, 43777, with Pastor Mark Combs officiating. Larry will be laid to rest at Rosehill Cemetery, Roseville.
