I met Kay quite a few years ago. She was a very good friend of my friend, Betty Malosh, in Toledo. My husband, myself and Betty came down and picked Kay up one time to go to a Mended Heart Workshop. We had such a good time. Kay was always fun to be around with! She was certainly a wonderful Mended Heart and spread her warmth and help to other heart patients everywhere!

Mrs. Wollam was my favorite teacher. I had her for Home Ec at St.Wendelin High School in the late '70's. I will never forget how much fun she made that class. I can still hear her laughing as she rescued a Tupperware bowl that one of my classmates put on the burner to melt the chocolate for the mousse we were making :-)

Sorry to hear of your Mothers passing.
My Mother was her roommate a few years ago. My son and I always enjoyed visiting with her when we came to see my Mother June. After Mom passed away we continued once and a while to visit Kay. My son Steve is a big Ohio State fan as was your mother. They always had something to talk about. Deepest sympaty to you and Leo.

Kay was our church secretary at Pleasant Grove United Methodist for a short time. She was not only a wonderful secretary but a great friend. I found in her a heart that understood what others were going through. Ellen I enjoyed working with your mom so much. She will be greatly missed but at the same time I know that she is free from the body that trapped her these last several years.

Ellen,
My heart goes out to you and Leo at this time. Your mom was my favorite teacher at St. Wendelin High School. She was the best at educating and entertaining at the same time :-) Her sense of humor remains unmatched! She always made me feel very special.

Ellen,
I am very sad to hear only today of your mother's passing. I have many great memories of us all together. She always made me feel like family. In fact I was just sharing with my 15 year old daughter Annie only about a week ago, that I had a tremendous admiration for your mother's dedication to you and your grandparents. She has been one of my role models for my duty as a parent to provide opportunities to my 3 children. I will never forget her buying that maramatsu flute. Lord only knows how. I told my annie how your mom sacrificed whatever she had to in order to provide you with opportunities. She was a remarkable woman and she is missed.
My deepest condolences,
John Hogan
