Lyle E. “Bud” Crozier, 88, of Zanesville, died at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Forest View Health Center.  He was born August 11, 1923, in Madison Township in the community of Pleasant Hill, a son of the late Grover H. and Catherine M. Jameson Crozier.    He first worked helping farmers, then for Madison Twp. and then retired from the former Line Material after 42 years of service as a crater, labor painter and janitor.  He was a member of the Norval Park Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mary A. Dillehay Crozier, whom he married July 21, 1957; four nieces, Lila (Charles) Kinney, Nora (George) Kinney, Mary Adolph and Barbara Adolph, all of Zanesville; two nephews, Gene (Doris) Swope and Delbert (Linda) Adolph, both of Zanesville; twenty nine great nieces and nephews; many great-great nieces and nephews; many great-great-great nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Forrest Crozier of Renton, WA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister who passed away at a very young age; two sisters, Twila Swope and Helen Adolph; two nieces, Marjorie Adolph and Marie Adolph Pritchard Baughman Blair; and two nephews, Lester and Raymond Adolph.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2012 at the funeral home with Evangelist Dallas Lockhart officiating.  Lyle will be laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Norval Park Church of Christ, 845 Arch St., Zanesville, Ohio 43701 or to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

Mary, i'm sorry to see about Lyle's passing. I always enjoyed seeing you out and about. I'll always remember us sharing the same uncle on different sides of family. Always thinking of you and may he RIP.
