Ethel L. Fisher, 92, of Zanesville, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan emergency Room. She was born June 30, 1919, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Charles and Freda Lutz Hosler. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. Ethel retired from Hazel Atlas Plant 1. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo, loved to shop, travel, was a member of the Eastern Star Olive Branch #251 for over 60 years and the Amrou Grotto Cauldron.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Jean Rutter of Prospect, and Marilyn Sue (Virgil) Pickrell of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Thomas (Cassie) Rutter of Marion, John (Dana) Rutter of Springfield, Christina Rutter of Richwood, Virgil W. ( Tonia) Pickrell of Copley, Michael (Heather) Rutter of Prospect, and Darrin “Bull” Pickrell of Zanesville; eighteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a sister, Edna Crawford of Avondale; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Fisher in 1995, a great great granddaughter, Adalynn Patton; four brothers, Walter, Clarence Charles and Ralph Hosler; four sisters, Betty Lotterbaugh, Erma Ansel, Ruth Sheets and Margaret Stevens.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Mitch Reed officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Tom at Zanesville Memorial Park.
