Susan Abele Obituary

Susan M. (Glendenning) Abele, 68, of Nashport, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. She was born January 30, 1949, in Columbus, a daughter of Keith and Jean Kilpatrick Glendenning. Susan was a graduate of Berne Union HS and Ohio University, was a member of the First Assembly of God, Zanesville, was active at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors and loved her flower gardens. She is survived by her husband, Mike Abele; children, Dave (Leanna) Shaw of Somerset, Denise (Max) Maksimoski of Gahanna, and Danielle (Chris) Stalter of Somerset; stepchildren, Matt (Sabrina) Abele of Zanesville, and Amanda (Kim) Harris of Mt. Perry; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, John (Karen) Glendenning of Ocala, FL, Rita (Michael) Cope of Ocala, FL, Jill (John) Cripps of Sugar Grove, and Jack (Pam) Glendenning of Princeton, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Georgia, and a stepson, Michael J. Abele. Friends and family may call from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 17, 2017 and one hour prior to the service which will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Jim Peters and Pastor Jeff Fountain officiating.
