Paul Jones Obituary

Paul E. Jones, 85, of Zanesville, formerly of Dresden, died at 10:50 P.M. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital. He was born March 6, 1932 in Trinway, OH a son of the late Clarence E. and Blanch M. Smith Jones. Paul was a machinist for over 30 years at Rockwell Int, a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church and one of the foundering members of the Dresden VFW Post #11072. Paul was a United States Army Veteran, where he served in the Special Forces in Korea. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and a pool shark. Surviving are his loving wife, Juanita R. Bangerter Jones of the home whom he celebrated his 60th Anniversary with on July 8th, 2017; five children, Cynthia (Dan) Schneider of Dresden, Deborah A. (David) Crawford of Frazeysburg, Linda R. (Paul) Biddle of Zanesville, Larry P. Jones of Nashport and his little girl, Jennifer L. Jones of Columbus; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and close friend, Ted Szabo. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a great grandson, Angel Bell. Friends and family may call from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 with Pastor Mark Chow officiating. Paul will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville. Full Military Honors will be accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with the Dresden VFW Post 11072. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Heinzerling Foundation, 1800 Heinzerling Drive, Columbus, OH 43223.
