Larry Dale Swick Sr., 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family January 8, 2017 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born April 19, 1942, in Johnstown, Ohio, son of the late Carl and Jean Welch Swick. Larry was a welder by trade, drove truck, and worked for Goodwill. He was a United States Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Clara F. LaBrake Swick, whom he married September 4, 1965; a son, Larry (Mary) Swick, Jr.; two daughters, Carrie (Walter) Collins and Peggy (Christopher) Myers, all of Newark; fifteen grandchildren, CJ (Kristen), Corey (Mary) and Cody (Caitlin) Zipse, Katelynn (Darcy) and Jessica (James) Foster, Brittney (Brandon) Gosner, Robert (Laurena) and Michael Collins, Kirstjen (Juan) De La Sierra, Tyler McDonald, Tiela LeBlanc, Sierra (Jesse) Swick, Larry Swick III, and Christopher and Hailey Myers; twelve great-grandchildren, Gunner and Hudson Zipse, Skye Magers, Kieron Ziolkowski, Adora Collins, Blake and Blaine Gosner, Kassidy and Rylee Wright, Shuan and Arianna DelaSierra, and Michael Perez. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kandy Swick Foster. A dignified cremation has taken place, friends and family may call one hour prior to the Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Crossroads Christian Church, 11784 Marne Road, Newark, Ohio 43055 with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating.
