Kenneth Russell Russ Morrison, 80, of Zanesville, died at 3:18 P.M. Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Genesis Hospital. He was born in Blue Rock on January 31, 1936, a son of the late Kenneth Ross and Dollie Shook Morrison. He retired as lead mechanic at ODOT after 47 years. He served in the United States Army National Guard of Ohio. He enjoyed tractor pulls, his family, and eating out. He loved working on his parents 700-acre farm in his younger years. Surviving are his children, which were the love of his life, Carolyn (James) Warfield, Kenneth (Keri) Barnhart, and Tamera (David) Downey; 12 grandchildren, Jenna, Jill, Jodi, Christa, Shawn, Austin, Conner, Cody, Nathan, Brandon, Shane and Jamie; 13 great grandchildren, Josie, Brody, Alexis, Riley, Madi, Carter, Chance, Kira, Kaci, Kaelyn, Arianna, Roman, and Zayden; and special friend, Marilyn Brosie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Frances M. Besser Morrison, who died December 28, 2011; and two sons, Gerald Barnhart and Keith Barnhart. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors by the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29.
