Josephine Hill Obituary
Josephine F. Hill, 89, of Zanesville, died at 12:15 A.M. on Friday, November 3, 2017, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. She was born March 29, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of the late John Wesley and Clara Wilkinson Logan. She was Pastor Emeritus for Baker Street Church of God, Zanesville. She is survived by four sons, Elton (Anna) Hill, John Henry (Lisa) Hill, Nathan (Wendy) Hill, all of Zanesville, and John Thomas Thompkins of Columbus; four daughters, Margaret J. (Leonard) Johnson of Zanesville, Mary (Willie) Catchings of California, Paula Hill of Illinois, and Betty Hill of Columbus; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, James Logan of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Lyle Hill Sr., who died in March of 2008; a son, Sam Newland; five grandchildren, Tyron, Michael, Josianne, John Henry, Jr. and Steven; two sisters, Betty Norris and Dora Harvey; and three brothers, Bill, Raymond, and Charles. Friends and family may call from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE and one hour prior to the Funeral Service which will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Baker Street Church of God, 718 Baker Street, Zanesville, with Pastor Leonard Hill, Jr. officiating. Following the service a Cremation-With-Care will take place with a burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville at a later date.
