Jerry E. Ball, 72, of Nashport, died at 2:45 A.M. Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Cedar Hill Care Center, Zanesville, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 1, 1945 in Zanesville, a son of the late Porter and Daynee Melvin Ball. He worked for Grief Brothers as a shipping foreman for 43 years. Jerry was a member of the Old Steam and Gas Club and devoted his spare time to watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are the mother of his children, Mary Ball; his two sons, Troy (Kim) Ball and Tony (Valarie) Ball; two daughters, Tammy (Donald) Jeffers and Terri (Wolfgang Huddleston) Murphy; five grandchildren, Kayla (Chris) Burns, Kara (Mike) Butler, Kyle Ball, Rachel (Dustin Redmond) Ball and Tristan Murphy; two step grandchildren, Brady and Blake Cronin; seven great grandchildren, Chase, Callie, Jakoby, Jagger, Lilly, Logan and Aidrionna; two brothers, John(Barb) Ball and Jack (Dawn) Ball; three sisters, Dixie (Ronald) Hooper, Sharee (Larry) Wollard and Jan Moore; and a very special family friend, Karen Stotts. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, James Ball. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
