Helen King Obituary

Helen Freda King, 84, of Zanesville, died at 1:23 A.M. on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. She was born April 11, 1933 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Patrick and Wava Harmon Coffey. She retired from Sears after nineteen years of service in the Accounting and Bookkeeping Department. She was a long time member of Market Street Baptist Church member, volunteered at Genesis, a Girl Scout leader, and a member of Green Valley Golf League. She is survived by her husband, of sixty-seven years, H. Kent King, Jr., whom she married August 15, 1949; two daughters, Linda (Lance) Riehl and Molly (Bill) Savard; a son, Steve K. (Debbie) King; five grandchildren, Tobi (Jeff) Doyle, Stephanie (Travis) Spencer, Jennifer (Brandon) Tumblin, Jessica Kohler, and Taylor Reardon; seven great-grandchildren, Emma, Blake, Hannah, Addison, Ashlyn, Hunter, and Jason; four sisters, Bernice Osborne, Dorothy Cook, Jane (Frank) Tignor, and Judy Archer; a brother, Dick (Anita) Coffey; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Coffey; and a sister-in-law Kay (Dave) Lechner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Kohler, and a brother, Rolland Coffey. Friends and family may call from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE and one hour prior to funeral services which will be held at Market Street Baptist Church, 140 North Sixth Street, Zanesville at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, with Pastor Howard Thompson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter Society, 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, OH 43701.
