George C. Fleming II, 87, of Zanesville, died at 11:10 A.M. on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Cedar Hill Care Center, Zanesville. He was born March 28, 1930, in Manchester, Ohio, a son of the late George C. and Thelma Stricklett Fleming. He retired after forty two years as Superintendent of the Hi-Way Paving Incorporated and a member of United Methodist Church of East Fultonham, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jacqulyn Fleming, of the home; two sons, George C. (Laura) Fleming III of Kentucky and John C. Fleming of East Fultonham; two daughters, Christine Lee of Heath and Cindy Fleming of Newark; four grandchildren, Ryan and Erin Lee, and John Christopher (Ashley) Fleming II and Joseph Fleming; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Glenna) Fleming of Zanesville; and a step-brother, Whiten G. Mauk. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Samantha Jo Fleming; a son-in-law, Charles W. Lee, Jr.; and a brother, Robert E. Fleming. A Cremation-With-Care will take place with a Celebration of Life service to be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church of East Fultonham, 6945 Elm Street, East Fultonham, Ohio, with Pastor John Coleman officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of East Fultonham, 6945 Elm Street, East Fultonham, Ohio 43735.
