Eldon Carroll Stevens, 80, of Mt. Perry, died at 8:36 P.M. on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark. He was born November 30, 1936 to the late Clifford M. and Mildred M. (Stephens) Stevens. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was employed by Columbia Cement for twenty seven years and also Techic Glass in Columbus for seven years. Eldon was a member of the Church of God - Gods Acres in Newark. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Linda J. Stevens, whom he married April 6, 1965; children, Jason M. (Stacey) Stevens of Zanesville, Gregory A. Stevens of Mt. Perry, , Aranya (Albert) McCoy of Pataskala, Anne Burns of Reynoldsburg, Melissa Morgan of Zanesville, Brian (Maryanne) Jamison of Newark, Johna (Frank) Marshall of Brooklyn, New York, and Bryan Brown of Reynoldsburg; five grandchildren, Dylan Adam Stevens, Aarek, Aran, Azariah, and Adonijah Eldon Jamison; and a sister, Caroyln (Van) Woods of Hopewell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Odie C. Smith, a brother buddy. Friends and family may call from 6:00 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 19, 2017, with Brother Roger Decker officiating. Full military honors will be accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29. He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville.
